On December 5th, 1933 the 18th amendment was successfully repealed, and alcohol was once again legal in America.
National Prohibition ended on December 5, 1933, with the passage of the 21st Amendment repealing the 18th Amendment. It was the first time in U.S. history that the country amended the Constitution to repeal a previous amendment.
